I am a Clinical Psychologist, with 10 years experience within the NHS.

I am trained to work with all types of mental health concerns and I offer skilled, evidence based treatments to ameliorate mental health issues and to improve psychological and emotional well-being.

I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focussed Therapy(CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Systemic Models of Therapy (SMT).

I use Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy to treat trauma. Attachment theory underpins all of my work.

I follow NICE guidelines, where appropriate, to ensure that I offer the most effective interventions, which stem from scientific, high quality theory and research.

Welcome to my website.

About Me

Low mood and “post natal depression”
   Worry and anxiety
   Difficulties adjusting to parenthood
Concerns about feelings towards the baby
   Birth trauma
Becoming a parent after loss or bereavement
Becoming a parent through fertility treatment
Concerns about your baby seeming very unsettled, fussy
■   Difficulties with weaning
■   Emotional outbursts or so-called tantrums
■   Concerns about sleep, though I do not offer controlled crying solutions

How I work

You can refer yourself via my website. I will arrange a time to talk on the telephone before our first meeting, to introduce myself and explain a little bit about what to expect when we meet.

I will email you a short form to fill out before we meet which gathers details about your contact information. I will email you a copy of my terms and conditions of therapy to sign.

I usually offer 6 sessions, starting with an assessment, and then we review our work together and discuss whether more sessions are needed.

Please note this important information:

I am not available throughout the week.
I will try to be as responsive as possible however there will be times when I cannot be contacted for several days.

I am unable to offer a service to people who are in crisis.
If you feel that you cannot keep yourself safe then you must contact your GP, local A&E or local crisis team.

Availability and fees

I work across Cambridge. Please contact me for details of the locations that I work from.

I offer daytime and evening appointments.

All sessions last for 50 minutes and are charged at £120 per session.

Sessions are paid for in advance of our meeting. If you cancel your assessment with less than 24 hours notice then you must still pay for your session in full.

Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours notice are charged at £50.

I offer training to other professionals. In the past I have offered workshops on attachment, sleep, weaning and behaviour.

I have delivered training workshops to health visitors on perinatal mental health and also how to conduct listening visits.

I have good experience of facilitating reflective practice groups with health visitors and family support workers.

Please contact me for any enquiries about training or groups that you would like me to deliver.
